.NAME Domain Names

Set up in 2001, the .NAME universal TLD is the single TLD meant for personal sites only. These domains can be personal or fictitious names, aliases and/or other labels people are popular by. At the beginning, only 3rd-level registrations were possible, so if you desired to purchase john.doe.name, you were supposed to do that under .doe.name. In 2004, however, the registration procedures were loosened and second-level registrations were also permitted. Existing third-level names remained operational.

Through our firm, you can grab your .NAME domain for a period between one and ten years. You will be able to modify the WHOIS contacts, to park your domain, to create Custom DNS records, etc. You can also transfer an active domain to our firm if you obtain its EPP transfer authorization key from the current domain provider and we will renew it after the transfer has been finalized. There are no specific prerequisites on who can secure a dot NAME domain name, but in order to preserve the idea behind its creation alive, the Registry may verify who the Registrant is and if there is no connection between the owner and the actual domain, the registration can be challenged.
